For 5+ years now this has been how I have done all of my family’s laundry. Not only is it truly nontoxic, it is so affordable & more eco-friendly too. These products gently, yet effectively, deep clean all of our laundry.
Here is what I do:
- Pretty Everything Soap replaces replaces traditional laundry detergent (it is an all-purpose cleaning concentrate that has replaced every other cleaning product in my house, including hand soap)
- Add 2 tsp (1 cap full) of soap right into my washer’s detergent spot. For heavier soiled clothes add up to 4 tsps (2 cap fulls) of Everything Soap.
- Notes: Pretty Everything Soap comes in unscented as well as several varieties that use essential oils. Both make our laundry smell so fresh! My favorite is the Lavender Mint.
- One bottle of Pretty Everything Soap washes just over 100 loads of laundry
- Baking Soda helps deep clean clothes & remove stains. It also works to neutralize odor
- Add ¼-½ a cup of baking soda to the drum of your washer before adding clothes
- Vinegar softens my clothes & also eliminates odor
- Add vinegar to the softener section of your washing machine. Fill it to the max recommendation for your machine’s softener spot.
- Hydrogen peroxide works to brighten my whites - I add peroxide when I am washing whites.
- Add a few squirts of peroxide with the soap in the detergent section
- Dryer Balls + Essential Oils help my clothes dry quicker, smell amazing & eliminate static
- Add a drop or two of essential oils to your dryer balls & toss into your dryer with your wet laundry
