For the past four and a half years I have been sourcing essential oils to use in our natural & organic products. It is always my mission to source the highest quality, most pure ingredients on the planet, which also included my search for the very best essential oils.


Essential oils are without a doubt, one of the most amazing things I have ever discovered. The power within just a drop of oil is incredible - holding so much value, that we utilize in our skincare to reap bountiful skin boosting benefits. While the benefits of essential oils for your skin are amazing, the benefits beyond skincare are truly life changing as well.

Essential oils have taken over my household from cleaning supplies to my medicine cabinet, and so much more. The options are endless, and while I used to feel so clueless, the more and more I researched and learned, the more confident I felt in sharing our oils with the world.

The great thing about oils - and our goal for Root’s Organic Essential Oils - is that you can use them as little as you’d like, simply use them in your diffuser to replace toxic room sprays & candles, or use them with your whole family from the moment you wake up in the morning to the moment you go to bed. It’s easy to start with just a few, try them, experience their amazing benefits, & go from there.

In March of 2017, my team and I spent four days in Ohio becoming Certified Aromatherapists. Prior to this certification I felt extremely confident in my experience using essential oils to create our products, but wanted to learn more! We came back from our certification more excited about essential oils than ever before. Hearing even more amazing results and uses for oils was so rewarding and an experience I will never forget.

TRUSTING AND SELECTING OILS
There are so many companies selling essential oils, a lot of really great ones! With the wide variety of options, this makes purchasing essential oils easy but challenging at the same time. A few key things I always looked for, and now implement with our oils include:

THIRD PARTY TESTING
Third Party Testing, with results posted directly on their website & easily accessible. This was one of the biggest challenges for me. I found so many great companies but they either did not third party test OR they did not share the results. This scared me, and I knew I would have it no other way when selling our oils. Often times, companies will have a glamorous quality story, but at the end of the day if they don’t share quality results, they simply are just telling you they are pure. A lot of companies “test their oils in house” - this is not third party testing, in house testing is not unbiased results and another red flag for me.

ORGANIC CERTIFICATION
Another thing I always looked for was Organic Certification. Organic Certification is important to me because when the oils are extracted from the plants I am guaranteed no trace of toxic chemical comes with. Essential oils are so potent, therefore I want my oils to have never seen a drop of toxic chemicals during the growing process.

MY GOAL
My goal is to provide my customers with the very best essential oils in the world. For the past three years it has been a dream of mine to share the essential oils we have been sourcing for our skincare with my customers. Even though it has been an extremely long process from the time it has taken to find organic farms, third party testing of our oils, testing and determine what the very best packaging was & training, I would never have wanted to rush into essential oils without this experience and confidence in our knowledge and quality of oils. I have seen so many scary things in this industry & being able to source my own oils, through organic farms that I trust is the only way I would be confident in sourcing and selling our oils.

Where do you source your oils?

We source our oils all over the world - handpicking each and every one, from certified organic farms. We do not own these farms, however, our suppliers work directly with multiple farmers and distillers to source the finest oils in the world.

Are your oils third party tested?

Yes, they sure are! All of our oils are third party tested - results of these tests can be found directly on each essential oil’s product page.
